Vilma F Best-Walker

Vilma Felicia Best-Walker was born on June 13th, 1944 in Panama City, Panama. Vilma was the daughter of Leanora Rebecca Walker & Livingston Chesterfield Best, also from Panama City. Vilma completed the 6th grade and then started domestic work to help her mother support the household. She moved to the United States on December 27th, 2000 to help raise and care for her grandson, MarcAnthony, whom she adored and loved dearly. Vilma was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was kind, loving and believed strongly in God and in helping others however she was able. Vilma, a long time resident of Highland Park, NJ, passed on November 24th, 2019 at her home. She is survived by her daughter, Lizeth Thomas; grandson, MarcAnthony Johnson from Highland Park, NJ; sister, Barbara Best from Somerset, NJ; brother & sister-in-law Alfonso & Esther Hunter from Queens, NY; nephew, Robert Best from Somerset, NJ; nieces Elvia Yolanda Young & Shiela McFarlane from Panama; as well as other nieces & nephews from Panama City, Queens, NY and California.
