Teresa Ann White affectionately known as “Tee” peacefully passed on April 1st, 2024 at the age of 62.
Loving Daughter of the late Charles Arthur White (Texas) and Gloria Jean Parks-White (Georgia), Teresa was
born October 27, 1961 in New Brunswick, NJ. She was the second child and eldest daughter of the two.
In her childhood years, Teresa attended the city of Newark’s public school system, where she excelled
academically. She then attended Clifford Scott High School in East Orange, NJ where she was involved in several
extracurricular activities such as band, drill team, and sorority. Teresa would go on to Upsala College in East
Orange where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration being the first woman in her family to achieve this accomplishment.
Teresa began her career at Suburban Cablevision in New Providence, NJ where she managed the customer
service department. After 10 years of working for others, Teresa decided that she wanted to be her own boss.
She was a serial entrepreneur who owned her own tow trucking company named after her daughters (“C&M
Towing”), a popular beauty salon (“Imani’s”) in Somerset, NJ and several pieces of real estate. She was very successful in these endeavors and built a great life for herself and family.
Much of her young adult life was spent traveling the world with her best friends. She was a travel enthusiast and
loved doing so. One of her favorite places to vacation was Jamaica. She also loved spending most of her free
time with her family in which she would attend all events ready to support her loved ones and show them how
proud she was of them. She received Christ as her Savior with Mount Calvary Baptist Church (New Brunswick,
NJ), where she served as a member who truly loved the Lord. She was an active member of the Choir and the financial department.
Teresa was a proud mother of two daughters Christina N. White and Makyyah P.White whom she loved whole
heartedly. Nothing would stop her from seeing every Milestone they achieved in their lives. She made sure her girls were always loved, supported and taken care of.
She made sure of that with every person she encountered in her life.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gloria White, her grandfather Lawrence White, her
grandmothers Eva Mae Paschal and Roxie Angeline Burglar-Turner, her aunt Shirley Carmen, her sister-in-law Vicki Brown, and two siblings Keith White and Necole White.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her two daughters Christina White and Makkyah White, her two brothers
Charles Jr and Brent White, one grandson Jayon Stallings, one niece Chantal White, three nephews Keith White,
Charles “Isaiah” White and Jakai Childs, one god-daughter Al-Nisa Carmen, one god-son Tye Coleman, her three
best friends Michelle Coleman, Saundra Sharp-Conte and Shirelle Williams, and a host of relatives and friends.
