Sadie L. Adams was born on January 1, 1933, in Edgefield, South Carolina. The youngest of nine children, she lived a long and meaningful life rooted in family, kindness, and service to others.
Throughout her life, Sadie worked in roles that allowed her to care for and support others, including serving individuals with disabilities and working within the school system. She had a true servant’s heart and was known for her patience, generosity, and willingness to help whenever she could. Her home and her heart were always open to family and friends.
Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, James Moyd; her sons Mitchell Moyd, Melvin Moyd, Kenneth Moyd, Vernon Moyd, and Anthony Moyd; and her grandson, Rajan Moyd. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Ronald Moyd (Dionne Cunningham), Gregory Moyd, Patricia Hayward (George Hayward), and Clai Riddick (Linwood Riddick), along with her beloved grandchildren, extended family, and many others whose lives she touched.
Above all, Sadie will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to everyone she encountered. Her gentle spirit, strength, warmth, and devotion to those she loved will remain with us always. She had a special way of caring for people through both simple gestures and meaningful acts of love, making those around her feel welcomed, supported, and deeply cared for. Her presence brought comfort, and the love she poured into others will continue to be felt for generations.
