Phyllis A Johnston

On February 23, 1960, Phyllis Johnston was born to the late Elizabeth Jones and Wilmer “Harold” Milton in Newark, New Jersey. She was the only child but friend of many. Phyllis passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2025, at the age of 65.

Phyllis graduated from Irvington High School and conferred her masters degree in business administration from Rutgers University. She later began her career as an Sr. Treasury Analyst at NJ Transit where she retired after 28 years of service. In more recent years, Phyllis became a dedicated member and secretary at Apostle International Ministries Church.

Phyllis was devoted to helping others and very passionate about her family. She took pride in caring for her late mother while fulfilling her role as a mother, grandmother and friend. She was known for her warm smile, her generosity, and nurturing heart which made everyone feel welcome. She leaves to cherish her memory: Tiffany (daughter), Jordyn (granddaughter), extended family, and friends. She is reunited in heaven with her mother Elizabeth and father Harold.

While our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice in knowing that her love, guidance, and legacy will forever remain in our lives.
