Phyliss Rose Cooke March 4, 1932 – May 26, 2020 Beloved, Phyliss Rose Patterson Cooke, 88, born in Atlantic City, resident of East Orange, NJ for 50+ years, made her transition on May 26, 2020 at the Ashbrook Care & Rehabilitation Center, Scotch Plains, NJ. Cremation services, Plinton Curry Funeral Home, Somerset & Westfield, NJ and Evergreen Crematory, Hillside, NJ; June 10, 2020. Phyliss was preceded in death by her loving parents, the late Glover Patterson and Myrtle Crosley Patterson; sisters, Lucille Patterson, Betty Pruitt and Myrtle Jenester Patterson; brother, Robert Matthews Sr; husband, Joseph Cooke; son, Phillip Pinkett; nephews, Michael Douglas and David Pruitt; and niece Linda Patterson. Phyliss is survived by her devoted son, Seth Scrimmager; three brothers, Glover Jr, Earl B and Donald S. Patterson; sister-in-law, Patricia Patterson; niece, Sharon Patterson; grandchildren, Felicia F, Soleil A and Tahj J Scrimmager; Janielle Hevalow, Phyline Miller Dudley, Ameenah Aikens, and Antwine Miller; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, who will all miss her dearly.
