Omar Ryan McClish

Omar Ryan McClish, age 52, of Rahway, New Jersey, departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born on April 14, 1973, in East Orange, New Jersey, to the late Jeronia and Richard McClish.

Omar was raised in Rahway, New Jersey, where he attended Rahway High School and proudly earned his high school diploma. He was also nurtured in faith at Israel Memorial AME Church in Newark, New Jersey.

For over 20 years, Omar worked as a dedicated switcher at FedEx Ground. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. Omar truly loved life and enjoyed being around the people he cared about. He had a special love for cars and enjoyed anything related to them. He also loved music, gatherings, and celebrations. Omar enjoyed spending time with friends and family, laughing, and making memories.

Above all, Omar loved his family. He was a proud father to his only child, DyShawn Ryan McClish. He was also a loving and devoted grandfather to his four beautiful granddaughters: Melissa, Autumn, Jadah and Savannah. His granddaughters meant the world to him and brought him great joy.

Omar also leaves to cherish his memory his loving his 1 son DyShawn R. McClish, 4 granddaughters Melissa McClish (10), Autumn Holiday-McClish (7), Jadah Holiday-McClish (6), and Savannah McClish (2), 2 siblings, Connie C-Sheriell McClish and Richard McClish, 3 nieces Taniece McClish (42), Kitana Settle (27), Kiara McClish (25) and 6 nephews DeAndre McClish (40), Lenar Settle (deceased), and Jerome Settle (29) along with a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever remember his joyful spirit and love for life.

Though Omar has departed from this life, his memory and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
