Lydia M Gosha, The Matriarch of the family was born on January 25, 1957 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Lester Williams Sr. and Gloria Worthy Williams she was the third of five children who all proceeded her in death Julia E Tardy, Lawrence (Hafiz)Williams, Rhonda, L Williams and Mark A Williams.

Lydia was educated in the Elizabeth New Jersey school system. In 1975, she gave birth to her first child, a beautiful baby girl named Tywanna Keauntea’ Williams with the late Robert Glenn Peterson.

In 1985 Lydia relocated to join her family in Carteret, NJ where she was employed as an office assistant for her late sister Julia, at Roosevelt Village Apartments. Where she then met the love of her life, Charles A Gosha aka “LON”. Within this relationship, Lydia gave birth in 1987 to her 2nd child, a beautiful baby girl, Jasmeen Sade’ Gosha. In 1989, she gave birth to one of her greatest blessings, the one she prayed and cried for, a joyful baby boy, Charles Alonzo Gosha Jr.

In October of 1996, Charles Sr. and Lydia solidified their relationship and became one in Matrimonial bliss. Within their union, she became a bonus Mother to Najah R Alston and Omar Alston which completed her family.

Lydia was blessed with a spirit of entrepreneurship, which led her and Charles Sr. to own and operate their Community Day Care, and a Soul food restaurant “Taste of Soul” located in Carteret NJ.

Later in 2013, Lydia decided to further her education within the Medical field and became a Phlebotomist, which lead to her employment at LabCorp Corporation of America in Bridgewater, NJ.

Anyone who knew Lydia at Heart, knew her love and dedication to the LORD, and she would go to “toe to toe” with anyone over the word of GOD.

Lydia had a strong love for family and keeping that connection together. She enjoyed Gospel, Jazz, and R&B Soul.

She enjoyed “going down memory lane “by displaying her skills for signature dances like, The Hustle “with Janeer”, the Bump, and the four corners, playing cards,shopping and cooking. Most of all, she loved doing Arts & Crafts with her grandchildren, Jeremiah and Ja’Seer, and watching sitcoms with her baby boy Charles Jr. aka “Duke”.

Lydia leaves to cherish her memory, her Three children, Tywanna Keauntea’ Williams, Jasmeen Sade’ Gosha (Janeer) and Charles Alonzo Gosha Jr. who were her primary caregivers, as well as her bonus children Najah and Omar Alston.

Her two grandchildren, whom she loved and adored, Jeremiah “Shadow”, and Ja’Seer “Seer” as well as her 5 bonus grandchildren JaMiyah, Hezekiah, Zecariah, Nehemiah, and Zaniyah Ragland.

Four nieces, Christina “Missy” Burton, Robin Burton Brown also primary care giver(Tim), Aisha L Williams, Tamesha Wells. Eight nephews, Edward L Burton Jr, Edwin L Burton(Adriana), Sawab O. Williams, Dequan Bogan, Ty’ Reke Bogan, Shaun Roberts, Tyrese Roberts. Her five bonus sisters who were near and dear to her heart, Sheila Williamson, the late Iris Price aka Dee Dee, Stacy Jones, Linda Gilchrist, Sherline Jones as well as her bonus brother, Wayne Jones aka Slip, Bonus Son Mike Crudup, Special Friend Decon Milford and Special Friend of the Family the Late Hector L River (Zoot) and her Baby Shabba (family dog). 

Thirty Nine great nieces and nephews, Eighteen great great nieces and nephews, and throughout her martial union, a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren children.
