It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Jahad Justus Carter, a beloved son, grandson, brother, and visionary, who left us far too soon on April 14, 2026, at the age of 33. Jahad's journey began on January 28, 1993, in Plainfield, New Jersey, where he was born to the loving parents Kevin Lamont Carter and Genevieve Nataya Smith.

Jahad was a beacon of light and creativity, known for his infectious smile and the warmth he shared with everyone he met. He was a man of many talents, with a career that spanned various industries, including sales, customer service, hospitality, and service station work. However, his true passion was music and performance, the realms where his heart truly soared. Jahad's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly through the creation of his beloved brands, Fanbase and Baseville, which became synonymous with his name and his creative vision.

Educated at North Plainfield High School, Jahad was a proud native of New Jersey, where he cultivated lifelong friendships and a deep connection to his community. From a young age, he was an avid basketball player, a sport he cherished during his childhood. This passion eventually evolved into a profound love for music, where he found his true calling and a source of endless joy.

Jahad's life was enriched by his cherished family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Donyale Carter, who shared in many of his life's adventures and supported him in all his endeavors. Jahad also leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his parents, Kevin Carter and Genevieve Smith, grandmother, Clestine Phillips, who were always his biggest supporters and admirers of his creative spirit.

Preceded in death by his revered grandparents, Sandra Smith (Nanny), Nate Gray(Pop Pop), Curly Melvin Ross (Pop Pop), and Ira Lee Phillips (Pop Pop), Jahad now joins them in eternal peace. He carried the wisdom and love imparted by these special individuals throughout his life, shaping him into the remarkable person he was.

Jahad's life, though brief, was filled with laughter, love, and a relentless pursuit of his dreams. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, creativity, and the music that flowed from his soul. As we say goodbye to Jahad, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Jahad Justus Carter will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, Jahad. Your melody will play on forever.
