Bishop Robert Blount Sr.

The Right Reverend Robert L. Blount of Jersey City, NJ, transitioned peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was the pastor of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church Inc. for almost 56 years. Bishop Blount has held numerous positions through-out his lifetime including the beloved Dean of Students at Henry Snyder High School. After 21 years of dedicated service, he retired from the Jersey City Housing Authority as manager of the A. Harry Moore housing Complex. Bishop Blount was married to the late Rosa M. Blount for 62 years. To this union were born: Rosa Annette (of blessed memory) Robert LeAndre (Tammy), Marcella Eunice (Lawrence) Lisa Arlene (Kenneth), Gregory (Robin), Calvin (Marketa), Jonathan (Royette), Kelvin Roberts (Dana). 16 grandchildren, 5 great grand children, Six sisters, one brother in-law one sister in-law, Neices, nephews, Emmanuel Pentecostal Church family and many other family members and friends.
