Beverly Ann (Keaton) Moseley, age (78), was born on October 11, 1946, to late Royal and Ruth Keaton. She passed away peacefully on Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville, NJ, with one of her devoted children Amy Morris by her side.

Beverly was a proud graduated of the Metuchen School System. Upon Completion of high school, Beverly attended and graduated from Essex County College in Newark, NJ for executive secretarial studies. She went on to work for Gulton Industries in Metuchen. Beverly later married James D. Lawson of Keyport, NJ, and moved to San Antonio Texas during his military service. Following their return to New Jersey, their marriage ended in divorce.

Beverly dedicated much of her life to service and education. She worked for the NJ Job Corps in Edison, NJ, while attending and graduating from Perth Amboy Nursing School. She returned to NJ Job Corps as an assistant instructor under Barbara McKnight in the LPN program. In the 1980s, Beverly opened her heart and home as a foster parent for Middlesex County Human Services, offering emergency placement for children displaced and abused children.

She later married John C. Moseley, and together they raised five children: Jeffrey S. Moseley, Amy S. Morris (Michael), Tjuana N. Byrd (Ralph), Marsha A. Moseley and Marci L. Hodge (Royston).

Beverly continued her nursing education at Philadelphia Bible College in Luther Corner, Pennsylvania. She returned to work at various hospitals, Middlesex Hospital New Brunswick Head and Trauma Center, Somerset and St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick. She ended her career at Perth Amboy Nursing Home due to illness but continued to do volunteer work for hospice patients until 2017.

A woman of deep faith, Beverly accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Second Baptist Church of Metuchen, NJ. Beverly also moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia where she joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church under Reverend Collins where she worked on the kitchen committee and children’s ministry for several years. Prior to moving to Georgia, she became a member of the Church of Living God under Bishop Wyatt. After several years she returned to her roots at the Second Baptist Church of Metuchen where she remained. During her years there she served in the Missionary, Usher and. She founded the children’s usher board, Forever Young Senior Ministries Choir (Children and Adult), Homeless, Women’s and Pastor’s Aide Ministries.

Beverly was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Keaton, father, Royal Keaton, brother Roger Keaton, sisters Teri Booker, Linda Davidson and Rhonda Edwards. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Jefferey Moseley, four daughters, Amy Morris, Tjuana Byrd, Marsha Moseley, Marci Hodge, one brother, David Andrews (Tanya), a host of grand, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish her memory and legacy of love, faith, and service.
