Alexus Love Powell

Alexus Love Powell, daughter of Yolene Auguste and Carl Powell was born on October 25th, 1998 at St Barnabus Hospital in Livingston, New Jersey. She departed this life on April 26th, 2024.

She graduated from Piscataway High School in 2015 and went on to Raritan Valley College and Rutgers University where she earned a Batchelor’s degree in Forensic Science. She was a member of the Honor Society. Alexus worked at The Home Depot and Roche Pharmaceuticals and in 2022 she joined the US Airforce where she rose to the rank of Senior Airman.

Lexi, as she was lovingly called by her family, will be remembered as a spiritual, caring, funny young lady who loved her family dearly, took her education seriously and was extremely focused on achieving the goals she set for herself.

Alexus will be missed and cherished by her mother Yolene, father Carl, grandmother Anita Brown, brothers Jonathan, Malik, Matthew, Carl Jr. and Warren. Sisters Whitney, Ivory and Simone. Aunts Kettly, Micheka, Kathleen, Diane, Ann and Michelle and uncles Sony and Vaughn. Nieces Ariah, Zaria and Jaelynn, nephew Kyrie and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandmother Andre Rose Louis, grandfather Alphonso Auguste and aunt Petrina Simmons.
